" Nothing "
作家である前に一人の現代を生きる人間である自分にとって「何もしないこと」は「孤独と向き合う」という行為としての意味を持っています。
一人でいるとか、周囲から孤立しているとか、そういうことではなくて、私にとって「孤独」は自分自身と深く向き合うための営みで、いつもそばにあるものです。
その時間からすくいあげた印象や衝動をそっと作品として残すことが自分が生きるために必要不可欠なことでした。作品をつくること・描くことで重たい感情が浄化され、癒しへと変わっていくのです。
私にとってNothingとは、その静かな変容の名前なのです。
Before being an artist, I am a human being living in the present.
For me, “doing nothing” carries the meaning of an act of facing solitude.
It does not mean simply being alone or isolated from others.
Solitude, for me, is a constant companion — a practice of deeply confronting myself.
To quietly transform impressions and impulses from that time into works has been essential for my life.
Through creating and painting, heavy emotions are purified and turn into a kind of healing.
For me, Nothing is the name of this quiet transformation.

MOMO
1996年、横浜生まれ。
言葉をモチーフに画面を描き出し、日常の中の隙間や曖昧さ、そこに広がる奥行きを作品として発表している。
子どもの落書きのようなシンプルな文字・言葉の背景には、大人になるにつれて失われた感覚や自分自身への問いかけが潜んでいる。
村上隆主宰「GEISAI#22 & Classic」にてAce Hotel Awardを受賞。2025年下半期には渋谷駅西口での大型作品公開も控えている。
MOMO
Born in Yokohama in 1996.
MOMO uses words as a motif to create works that reveal the gaps and ambiguities of everyday life, expanding them into depth and presence on the canvas.
Behind the childlike simplicity of letters and words lies a questioning of the senses lost in the process of growing up, as well as a quiet dialogue with the self.
Recipient of the Ace Hotel Award at GEISAI#22 & Classic, organized by Takashi Murakami.
In the second half of 2025, MOMO will unveil a large-scale public work at Shibuya Station’s west exit.
