これまでの展示では、記憶や風景、頭の中に浮かぶイメージを、自分なりの視点で描いてきました。
今回は「SEA」というテーマで展示を行います。
海は、今暮らしている熱海の風景として身近にある一方で、過去に旅先で感じたことや昔の記憶ともつながるモチーフです。
日常的に見ているはずなのに、そのときどきの自分の状態や気持ちによって見え方や意味が変わってくる。そんな「定まらなさ」や、見る人によって意味が変わる余白を含んだ存在として海を描いています。海そのものを描いているというよりは季節や空気の変化、家族と過ごす時間、仕事の合間にふと感じる感情の起伏など、日常の中の断片を“海”というテーマの中で描いています。
僕の描く景色には個人的な感覚や記憶が含まれているけれど、それが、見る人の体験や感情と重なる瞬間があるとしたら、そこに意味があると思っています。
たった3日間の展示ですが、自分にとっては、これまでやってきたことの一つの節目のような気がしています。
立ち寄ってもらえたらうれしいです。その中で、何かひとつでも見つけてもらえるものがあれば、もっと嬉しいです。

1989年生まれ。武蔵野美術大学 視覚伝達デザイン学科卒。
2021年に東京から熱海へ移住。
愛猫家。企業広告や書籍、アパレルなど多岐にわたるアートワークを手がけている。
アーティストとしては自身の「視点」をテーマとした創作活動を行っており、海や山に囲まれた熱海の土地でインスピレーションを受け取りながら、海辺の町での生活をモチーフに制作をしている。

In my past exhibitions, I’ve explored memories, places, and mental images through my own perspective.
This time, the theme is “SEA.”
The sea is a familiar sight in Atami, where I live.
At the same time, it’s tied to memories of travel and the past.
Its meaning often shifts depending on how I feel.
That ambiguity—and openness to interpretation—is what interests me.
I’m not painting the sea itself, but using it as a frame:
moments like the changing seasons, time with family, or quiet feelings that surface in between work.
These fragments of daily life are brought together through the sea.
My work reflects personal memories and emotions,
but if something resonates with your own experience,
then maybe that’s where its meaning takes shape.
This is a small, three-day show in the lounge at TRUNK(HOTEL).
I’d be happy if you stopped by—

Yuta MIHIRA
Artist / Illustrator / Graphic Designer
Born in 1989. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Visual Communication Design.
Relocated from Tokyo to Atami in 2021.
A devoted cat lover, he works across a wide range of media including commercial advertising, books, and apparel.
As an artist, he explores the theme of "perspective" in his work, drawing inspiration from the seaside town of Atami—surrounded by ocean and mountains. His creations reflect daily life in this coastal setting.
