渋谷のソウルフードである「串焼き」という素晴らしい食カルチャーを発信する場所をつくりたい。
そんな想いからTRUNK（KUSHI）は誕生しました。

日本が世界に誇る大繁華街、渋谷。
この街のルーツを辿ると、渋谷と串焼きには深い繋がりがありました。
戦後GHQ統治の最中、開かれていた渋谷の闇市。
屋台も多く存在し、鶏や野鳥の肉を香ばしく焼いた串は戦争で疲弊した人々、困難の中で生きる人々を元気づけ活気を取り戻すためのエネルギーの源となっていました。

現在も老舗の串焼き店が数多く点在し、今も昔も渋谷で生きる人々を元気づける串焼きは、まさに渋谷のソウルフード。全てを一番美味しい状態で提供するため、食材の部位ごとに異なる仕込みと焼き方に徹底的にこだわっています。

TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET, rooted in the heart of Shibuya, hopes to create a hub where we can disseminate the wonderful local food culture of "skewers”, Shibuya's soul food. From such an idea, TRUNK(KUSHI) was born.

Shibuya is known worldwide as an extremely busy and bustling major city. Looking back at the city's history, there was a deep connection between Shibuya and skewered food culture.
During the postwar reign of GHQ, the black market in Shibuya opened.
Food stalls were abundant, and the smell of skewered chicken and wild bird's meat was a source of comfort for people who were living in difficult times postwar, and was a source of energy for them to try to regain their daily lives.

Many old-time skewered food eateries still exist, and it still is a type of food which energizes people living in Shibuya. It is indeed, a soul food of Shibuya.In order to provide every order in its most delicious state, we thoroughly pay attention to the preparation and grilling of the skewers, both of which are different depending on the food and ingredients of the skewer.
